Volunteer Opportunities

Spay N Save holds surgical clinics on a monthly or bi-monthly schedule.  We are always in need of caring and dedicated volunteers to make our program of saving cats’ lives a success.  Some volunteer opportunities are:

Scheduling of Clinics

• Making appointments
• Giving pre-surgery instructions
• Giving directions to clinic location
• Verifying appointments before surgery date

Clinic Operation

• Pre-surgery prep of cats (preparing surgical site)
• Vaccinating, flea control
• Transporting cats from check-in to surgery site
• Transporting cats from surgery to recovery
• Monitoring cats during recovery
• Post-surgery checkout

After Clinic Maintenance

• Clean up surgery and prep area
• Launder linens

Trap Distribution

• Delivering traps to residents
• Picking traps up after surgery recovery

Trapping of Feral Cats

• Helping to trap feral cats for those needing assistance
• Helping caretakers to trap large colonies
• Trapping for businesses
• Transporting cats to the veterinarian clinic

Colony Cat Caretaking

• Helping to feed and water cats that have been TNVR’d on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule

Helping to Build

• Cat Traps
• Feeding Stations
• Cat Shelters

Fundraising

• Planning events for Spay N Save
• Working at events we have coming up

Training sessions for volunteers will be held on an as needed basis. You must be dependable and dedicated to become a volunteer. The animals will be relying on you!
